Lactation Consultation
I offer private consultation in your home or our office. A lactation
consult usually consists of (a) thorough discussion of maternal and
infant history, (b) assistance with breastfeeding difficulties, (c) pre-
and post-feeding test weights on a scale accurate to 2 grams, (d) a
comprehensive care plan to treat the breastfeeding problem, and (e)
a report to your pediatrician and obstetrician/midwife.
Hours of operation are weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm, Tuesday
through Friday. Nurslings is closed on Federal Holidays, Montgomery
County Public School holidays, and during the months of August and
December.
Fees:
Initial home consultation: $140
Follow-up home consultation: $100
Initial office consultation: $120
Follow-up office consultation: $80
Payment is due at the time of service. A superbill will be provided for
you to submit to your insurance company, so that you can seek
reimbursement. Check with your insurance company to find out
about your coverage for lactation services.

Nurslings clients are encouraged to come to local support groups, in
order to connect with other moms who have struggled with
breastfeeding problems and made it through to reach their goals.

Montgomery County and LLL of Gaithersburg.
